February Lexington Technology Tips

1. Khan Academy

This is being promoted by PUSD as new a powerful resource. I see that this is super valuable in the content driven upper and middle grade classrooms. Basically it is a collection of video lesson on a wide variety of complex and interesting content. It began as a college project and has emerged as a valuable tool for education.

Here is an example of some science content delivered in a quick video for both teachers and students to use as a resource on Plate Tectonics. These videos are quick and can help out teachers whom have moved into a new grade and need to learn content quick.

2. Ipods in the classroom


How and what I you do with ipods in the classroom. They seem like simple hard drives with basic storage and play back ability but some educators are doing really neat things with ipods and using less paper in the classroom.
